First Crocus of Spring

It may not seem like a big news
story to you, but to one who has been cooped up all winter,
listening to reports of coming snowstorms that sound like the
beginning of a new ice age, and reports of record snowfall in
Boston, and gloom and doom from the climate change factions, it
is nice to get a simple "Welcome of Spring" from my own
front yard. The old adage about "March comes in like a Lion
and goes out like a Lamb" proves to be true once again. We
just had a final snowfall this past weekend, the first day of
Spring, and now the first crocus is poking its head up to
reassure me that all is well; Spring is right on time.
